Heat Treatment
Steel hardening and coating are processes that make the metal surface stronger, more resistant to wear and corrosion. This can be done in several ways, such as case hardening, which makes the surface hard but the core still tough, or hardening the entire workpiece to achieve overall hardness. Coating is the addition of layers of other materials to the steel surface for specific properties.
- Quenching & tempering
- Nitriding/carburizing (via partners)
- Hardness certification (HRC/HB)
Coating
Functional and protective coatings for wear resistance and corrosion protection.
- Anodizing (Al), Black oxide, Zinc
- PVD/DLC (via partners)
- Salt-spray/corrosion testing on request
